Trying to do appliqué
This year in my patchwork group we have a new "leader-teacher" . In fact, as J. moved to Djibouti ( how are you doing over there ?! hot, hot I imagine ...) her place was taken by a new arrived expat, who became our teacher. She is french and she wants us to learn how to applique. Applique comes from the french word - appliquer which means to "put on" - sewing smaller pieces of fabric into a larger background. I'm giving it a try. Using african fabrics, as I usually do here ...
