Rodilhas e Zucchini
This post is dedicated to Rosa Pomar who has been talking about rodilhas in her blog. 'Rodilhas' is the portuguese word for fabric rolls that you put over your head in order to carry something (heavy)over it. Last century fisherwomen sellers in Portugal used this rolls, carrying over a basket of fish ... for example. It's a museum piece nowadays. But not in Africa. 'Rodilhas' are still in use.
So Rosa asked me to tell her how 'rodilhas' were down here. And I took this picture to show her : cotton fabric made, all the same.
